Imajean “Jean” Weese, 83, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2025.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Cliffarord Weese, who preceded her in death. Jean is lovingly remembered by her devoted sister, Lu Minke, and her cherished daughters, Kelly Weese and Gina (Jim) Heitzenrater. She was a proud grandmother to Amber (Chad) Hamilton and Austin Heitzenrater, and a deeply adored "GiGi" to her great-grandsons, Braxton and Brody Hamilton. Jean also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who filled her life with joy.
Born on August 14, 1941, in Wymer, West Virginia, Jean was the daughter of Eva Haddix (Ted Pennington) and Jason White, and one of 11 children. Though her health had been strong, an unexpected fall called her to Heaven suddenly. Her legacy of love, faith, and service lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
With a green thumb and a heart full of joy, Jean found great peace in gardening and tending to her flowers. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted Christian and faithful member of The Chapel in Akron. Her greatest joy, however, came from caring for her great-grandbabies. Whether it be babysitting, sporting events, or doctors appointments, she was happiest when she was with her boys.
Jean’s life was defined by her selfless heart. She was an unwavering pillar of support and love in the lives of those around her. Caring for others came natural to Jean. She was the first there to offer any support when someone she loved needed help, without a second thought given. Her devotion as a wife, mother, Grammy, and GiGi was unmatched, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her. The joy she radiated out into those she cared for most will forever make a lasting imprint on their hearts.
She was, without question, the very best of us.
Her kindness, laughter, and unconditional love will be deeply missed more than words can aptly express, but the memory of them will be cherished in the spirits of those she touched during her beautiful life.
In keeping with Jean’s wishes, no public services will be held.
