Howard W. Krager, 91, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Howard was born on October 26, 1924 in Akron,Ohio. Howard was a WWII Navy Veteran, Lifetime Member of Mogadore V.F.W. Post 8487. Lifetime Member of Mogadore Moose Lodge 1082. He retired from Teledyne Monarch Rubber Company in 1988.
Howard was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was friend to all that knew him and will be deeply missed. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at AlterCare of Brimfield for their compassionate care of our gentle giant.
Howard is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie A. Krager; father and mother-in-law, Andrew & Jeanette Barclay; brother-in law, Jack Barclay; grandson, Philip Abood; great granddaughter, Samantha Sugden; great grandson, Tyler McHenry.
He is survived by loving wife of 69 years, Geraldine (Jerry) Krager. His children: Jack (Faye) Krager; Carol (Mel) Garretson; Buzz (Becky) Krager; Don (Theresa) Krager; Jeff (Patty) Krager; Kelly (Gary) Nellis. 26 Grandchildren, 32 Great-Grandchildren. Sister-in law Mary Ann Barclay. Three nieces and one nephew.
Family will receive friends on Monday November 30, 2015, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home ,131 N. Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. also at Newcomer Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations may be made in Howard's honor to Mogadore VFW 8487.
