Howard J. Plum, 55 of Rootstown, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on September 30, 2017. He was born in Billington, WV to Samuel and Gloria Plum. Howard served in the US Army. He worked at East End Welding for over 10 years. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars. Howard also enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets with his wife. Every year he enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle to the Outer Banks with his brother in-law, Ernie.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Plum; and brother in-law, Perry Jenkins. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife and best friend of 23 years, Sandra; children, Misty (Dave) Goodspeed, Jennifer (Natalie) Plum, Jeremiah (Marina) Plum, Emily Plum; step-children, Stephanie (Stiofan) McInerney, Amanda (David) Millican; grandchildren, Skyler, Keira, Jacob, Christian, Riley, Travis, Ainsley, Peightyn, Kaylynn, Hailie and Anthony; siblings, Cathy Veasey, Linda Jenkins, Matthew (Francis) Plum; best fur friend, Miles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held on Friday October 6, 2017 at 6pm at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church 2330 East Market St. Akron, OH 44312. Pastor Dave Herman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to gofundme.com.
