Howard M. Schnabel, 91, of Munroe Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was born on October 15, 1923 in Cuyahoga Falls to Walter and Martha Schnabel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Betty; daughters, Lynn (James) Stearns and Pamela Schnabel; stepdaughter, Kay (Leo) Roberson; grandsons, Kyle (Stephanie) Stearns and Leo Roberson III; and three great-grandchildren.
Howard served in World War II and the Korean War as a Naval Lieutenant. He served in many civic organizations and was a past president of the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education. He retired in 1987 as Executive Vice President of John David Jones and Associates.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 from 10-11 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
