Hillary Leahann Taylor, 43, of Uniontown, went Home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2026. She was born on November 6, 1982 the daughter of James "Jay" Moore of Twin Lakes, Ohio, and Laura Grucella of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Hillary graduated with the class of 2001 from Tallmadge High School. Hillary possessed a rare passion for the culinary arts, finding her greatest joy in the nourishment and smiles her cooking provided to all she met. Her dream of becoming a chef culminated in the launch of her Food Truck. 'The Pasta Princess'. A name as spirited, bright, and beautiful as she was. It stood as a proud symbol of her hard work, her creativity, and her desire to bring people together through the food she so loved to create. While Hillary celebrated many accomplishments, her most profound achievement was the boundless love she poured into her family. As the heartbeat of her home and her children’s most devoted advocate, she was affectionately known as a "Sports Mom" always their loudest cheerleader from the sidelines. Hillary will be forever remembered for her undying love, her innate kindness, and a selflessness that knew no bounds.
Hillary is survived by the love of her life, her husband and best friend, of 18 years, Joseph L. Taylor; beloved children Payton L. Taylor, Charlotte L. Taylor, and Korinne L. Taylor; father James "Jay" Moore; mother Laura Grucella; siblings Christopher (Chau) Moore, Andrew (Janel) Moore, and Madison (Dominic Bonacorsi) Moore; father and mother-in-law Tam and Sherry Taylor; brother-in-law Chris (Erica) Taylor and their three children Jaydin, MacKenzie and Mallory; and many other relatives and countless friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 9th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron). A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, Feb 10th at 10:30am at St. Matthew Catholic Church (2580 Berne St., Akron 44312) withFr. Michael Williamson as celebrant.
Words fail to capture the depth of the void left by Hillary's passing. To those who knew her, she was a true earthly angel—a radiant presence whose kindness and grace touched every soul she encountered. While she will be deeply missed by many, her spirit remains an indelible part of the hearts she leaves behind. Having walked her path with steadfast faith and grace, may she now find everlasting peace in the presence of the Almighty. We hold fast to the hope that though we are parted for a season, we shall meet again where there is no more sorrow and no more tears.
