Herman Holmes, 81, was born March 28, 1934 in Akron, OH. He departed on November 27, 2015. Herman enjoyed farming, horses and spending time with his family. His pride and joy was working for his family.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Alberta Holmes; sons, Timothy (Renee) Holmes, Jerry (Dorothy) Campbell, Jeffrey Campbell; daughters, Khadijah (Mohammad) Cooper, Alexis Broadus; sister, Madeline (Donnie) White; 5 sister in-laws; 3 brother in-laws; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday December 2, 2015 from 11-12pm with the service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Bishop Langston Floyd officiating. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park.
