Helen Eloise Scott, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2017 at the AGMC Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her family. Helen was born May 30, 1926 in Bon Air, TN to William T. and Nodia (Stout) Lambert.
Helen was employed by Ohio Bell, Montgomery Ward, Skorman's Miracle Mart, and retired as accounts payable clerk at Dairy Mart. Helen was a past member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, a den mother, and had many interests. She loved to travel, the beach being her favorite destination. She loved nature, alpacas, reading, and gardening. Helen was a strong, loving, and compassionate person. Her greatest love was her family who adored her and her nemesis was her TPN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Scott, Sr.; son, Donald A. Scott, Jr.; daughter, Judi (Ron) Choat; brother, Eugene Lambert; sisters, Catherine Rollins and Alma Fender; and granddaughter, Allyson Scott. She is survived by her son, J. Michael Scott; daughters, Janice (John) Hibbert and Kelly Scott who was her treasured caretaker for many years. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 3-4:30 followed by a 4:30 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Private burial will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
