Helen Louise Hutchison, 79, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2014. She was born on October 14, 1934. Helen was employed by Ohio Bell and then worked in the cafeteria for Akron Public Schools. She currently attended The Chapel. Helen will always be remembered for her generosity. She was faithful in her support of various Christian organizations. She was a very loving mother and grandmother known for her good advice and she loved to laugh.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; mother, Hazel Still, and sister, Mary Jane Garrett. She will be deeply missed by her children, Sandy (Paul) Gordon, Philip (Theresa) Hutchison, and Stacy (Mark) Roberts; sister, Jean Patterson of AZ; grandchildren, Michael (Mikki), Stephanie (Brian), Connie, Chrissy (Palen), Jenny (Joel), Haley (Jon), Jessie, and Olivia; many nieces and nephews, including special niece, Dorothy; and best friend, Janet Hall.
Visitation will be Monday, August 18, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel Memorial Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, with Pastor Mike Durkee officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
