Helen L. Mason

Helen L. Mason (Salzwimmer, 90, resident of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014. She was born September 9, 1923 in Harrisville, West Virginia to the late John and Ena Tustin. Helen graduated from Cairo High School in 1942. She graduated first in her sewing class and continued her love for sewing by making gifts for all of her family. Her most important role was taking care of her family.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Mason, Robert Knepper, and Daniel Salzwimmer; brothers, Earl "Bud" Tustin and Gerald "Jerry" Tustin; and sisters, Hazel McNeill, Mary Hamric, Betty Perkins, and Ruth Henthorne. She is survived by her sons, Jim (Loretta) Salzwimmer and Lee (Michele) Salzwimmer; grandchildren, Chuck (Jennifer) Salzwimmer, Chad (Amanda) Salzwimmer, Sue Salzwimmer, Lisa (Keith) Burwell, Amy (Pete) Goranitis, and Kim (Tim) Salzwimmer; 8 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 28, 2014 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
