Helen E. Alloway

Helen E. Alloway went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2015. She was born on October 7, 1926 in Folsom, W.V. to parents Harvey and Bessie Hurst. She was a lifelong resident in the Akron area. Helen served as a Sunday School teacher for 35 years at Akron Baptist Temple and a current member of Millheim Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Bruce; son, Mike; sisters, Thelma, Betty, Juanita, and Martha; brothers, Bud, Ernie and Don. She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Byron (Kathy) Alloway, daughter, Mary; grandchildren, Michael (Karrie), Michelle, Tia (Jerry), Cody; great-grandchildren, Junior, Jacob, Hudson, Ashley and Jacob, and a host of nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday February 2, 2015 from 6-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11am at Millheim Baptist Church 2661 Hayne Rd. Akron, OH 44312. Friends may visit the church between 10-11am. Pastor Kim Lawrence officiating. Interment Hillside Memorial Park.
