Harry Foster Conner

Philippians 1:3 - I thank my God every time I remember you.

Harry Conner passed away on April 15, 2025, after a courageous but brief battle with cancer. He was born in Bedford, PA, on November 6, 1944, to the late Shelley and Emma Conner. He lived most of his life in Akron, Ohio. Harry attended Hower High School. He was a skilled maintenance worker for several companies before retiring from The Flood Company. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, cruising, and gambling. Most of all, he was proud of his grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two of his brothers, Garry and Thomas Conner, and his wife of 49 years, Susan Vinsel Conner.

He will be deeply missed by his sons, Daniel (Deanna) Conner and Jeffrey (Kelly) Conner; daughter, Julie (Jeff) Goff; brother, Shelley Conner; and sister, Diana Conner Bole. Harry also leaves behind his seven grandsons: Jeffrey (Emily) Conner, Joshua (Grace) Goff, Kyle Conner, Jordan (Jordan) Conner, Micah (Emelie) Goff, Justin Conner, and Nate (Karilyn) Goff. He was grateful for his sister-in-law, Barbara Guess; niece, Sandra Guest; and great-nephew, Tod (Sandi) Guest. He was blessed to have many lifelong friends, including Mark Conrad, Ron Miller, and Jim Behringer.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 to 1:00pm at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 where services will be held at 1:00pm with Pastor Robert Phillippi officiating.
