Harriet Comeione
Harriet Comeione, 70, of Akron, passed away August 15, 2012. She was born in Akron on January 4, 1942 to the late Ike and Rose Slonsky. Harriet retired from Ponderosa after 13 years of service. She was a member of Visitation of Mary Catholic Church. In her free time, Harriet enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Bartholomew Comeione and brother, Myer Slonsky. She will be deeply missed by her children, Staci (Harry E. III) Anderson, Vickie L. Griffin (Laura Prince), Rebecca Comeione Riner, Joseph Comeione, and Anna Smith; sisters, Lillian Richards and Margie (Steve) Ramnytz; brother, Louie (Cathy) Slonsky; sisters-in-law, Joann Adkins, Ruby Comeione, and Anna Comeione; grandchildren, Missy Marie, Erica, Andrea (Josh), Tina, Mikey, Melissa, Jessica, Sarah Ann, Timmy, and Lindsey; great-granddaughter, Adriauna Leigh; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Harriet's family would like to thank the nurses from Hospice of Western Reserve for all their care and Dr. Gayleen Kolaczewski for over 40 years of care. Family and friends may call on Monday August 20 from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday August 21 from 10-11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. D.R. Hinkle officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
