Harold D. Morgan

Harold D. Morgan, 83, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2016. He was born to the late Daniel and Lillian Morgan. He proudly served in the US Army and taught military tactics for six years. He was a teacher, working for several districts where he touched the lives of many young people.

Harold retired from the Switzerland of Ohio school district in Monroe County. He was a member of Riverside Alliance Church and also volunteered at Summit Missions through Maranatha Bible Church. Harold's mission and passion was praying for others. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Patricia Morgan; daughters, Darlene Morgan and Christine (Patrick) McAllister; step-daughter, Karen (Eric) Prayner; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday January 5, 2016 from 4-7pm with the funeral ceremony starting at 7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Nevin Wiest officiating. Private burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Summit Missions or Haven of Rest.
