Guy Burchard Hawk

Guy B. Hawk, 92 passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026 at his residence with his family by his side.

Born in Cynthiana, Kentucky to Inez and Burchard Hawk, on November 14, 1933. He joined the United States Army in 1950 and served during the Korean War, attained the rank of Sergeant and was stationed in Japan. Guy often called those 3 years the "the best years of his life." Guy worked briefly at Goodyear Research and eventually started G.B.Hawk Construction where he loved barking out orders at his crew until his retirement at age 82. He loved playing poker and usually cleaned us all out.

His final 10 years were enjoyed at his dream home where he enjoyed the occasional margarita at the pool surrounded by a host of family and friends, and most always by dear friends Lynn and Brad. Guy was a great father, brother, son and friend, and will be especially remembered by his granddaughters for never failing to take them to dance class and never, ever missing a recital. Their dance photos still hang proudly in his home.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Harold and Gary; sisters Esther Ekmark and Rose Bach, and his beloved daughter Suzanne. Left to forever cherish his memory are his daughter Terry Lynn Elias (Eugene) and son Jeff (Angela). Grandchildren Nicholas (Cassie), Ashley (Sam), Natalie (Eric), and Olivia. Great grandchildren, Morgan, Evan, Audrey, Theodore and Crew; Sisters Netha Gussey, Sharon Billings, sister-in-law Bonnie Hawk; Brother Rick Hawk and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The Hawk Family wishes to thank Crossroads Hospice, Heather, Abbey, Megan, Joy, Natalie and the entire team for their compassionate care and Seniors Helping Seniors, especially Diana for her care and kindness.
