Gus Jim Meyer

Gus J. Meyer, 76, of Akron, passed away March 16, 2014. He was born in Akron on March 16, 1938 to the late Gus and Dorothy Meyer Sr. He retired from Montgomery Ward Key Shop after 28 years of service, eventually purchasing the key shop and setting up his family business, "DolenOre Key Shop" on State Rd.

Gus is survived by his children, Judith (Maurice) Hunt, Annie (Andrew) Risley, William, Katherine (Kris) Robertson, Gus Jr., Kathi, Rusty and Steven; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Joy (Paul) Montgomery; nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Community Health Care and Summa Hospice for their wonderful care of their dad.

Family and friends may call on Friday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Graham Road Baptist Church, 705 Graham Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. A funeral service will be follow calling hours at 12 p.m. with Pastor Michael Lovett officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, March 24 at 10 a.m.
