Gregory Burkey

Greg Burkey passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 from liver cancer. Greg was born November 5, 1962 in Youngstown. He grew up in Stow, Ohio. His fondest childhood memories were with his brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles and his Doberman Dogs. He loved animals and animals innately loved and trusted him. He made his living as a welder. His pastimes were the outdoors, music and cars. His greatest enjoyment was playing his guitar and going fishing with a cold beer. He is survived by his three loving children, Lydia Alison Burkey-Crowder, Marie Alexis Burkey and Anna Elizabeth Burkey; grandchildren, Olivia Crowder and Jason Crowder. There will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 North Main St. PO Box 2090 Akron Ohio 44398.
