Grady J. Gilpin
Grady J. Gilpin, 74, passed away July 9, 2014. He was born April 24, 1940 in Grantsville, MD to the late Ira T. and Clesta (Meyers) Gilpin. Grady retired from Range Resource after over 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Grady was preceded in death by his infant brother, Claude Eugene and brother, Julius.
Grady will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Janet Gilpin (Christner); son, Dwayne (Vicki) Gilpin of Ravenna; daughter, Rhonda (Steeley Jr.) Rapier of Akron; siblings, Waunita Wilt, Ray Gilpin, Lois (Don) Sweitzer, Clinton Gilpin, Richard (Helen) Gilpin, Maggie (Gary) O'Brien, David (Pat) Gilpin, Roger (Joanne) Gilpin, and Kenneth (Donna) Gilpin; sister-in-law, Glenna Gilpin; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Grady's family would like to thank Hospice of Summa for all their loving care.
Visitation will be TODAY Friday, July 11, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Joe Cosentino officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
