Gracia Ellen Eckert "Sam"

Gracia Ellen Eckert "Sam", 82, of Akron, passed away on October 11, 2016. She was born in Akron on September 8, 1934 to the late Ellis and Lura Miller. Sam lived a quiet life and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Eckert; sons, Michael Kisha, Keith Kisha, and Kevin Eckert; brother, Ellis Miller Jr.; and sister, Karen K.Young. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Miller, Valerie (Brian) Rawson, and Melony Chabra; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 7 p.m. with visitation from 6:30 p.m. until time of service at Northwest Avenue Church of Christ, 737 Northwest Ave., Tallmadge. Sam will be privately laid to rest at Northlawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sam's family.
