Gloria was born on October 25, 1950 in Akron, Ohio. She passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving children on October 8, 2024.
Gloria will forever be remembered as a feisty, humorous, insistently independent and loving mother and sister. She had a great appreciation for truth and integrity, always living her life on her terms.
She dedicated her life as a healthcare professional caring for others - particularly the elderly. She had a fervent love of all animals- a true Dr Doolittle.
She had a strong creative side and enjoyed writing childrens books and poetry (some even published. She was a self taught artist- acrylics were her medium of choice- and a musician, mastering the guitar and keyboards. She was a true modern day handywoman who did her own home fixes and built her own furniture.
She will be missed terribly by all that knew and loved her. She will join her parents, her brother and sisters and her son in the afterlife. She is survived by her daughter Brenda (Exo), son Jamie, sisters Linda Bergdorf and Marion Morrison, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Because of her love of animals and years of rescuing and protecting them, any donations in her memory would be appreciated by the humane Society or SPCA.
No showing or service was requested and honored.
