Gloria Jean Macbride

Gloria Jean MacBride, 51, passed away suddenly December 24, 2013, after a brief illness. She was born September 14, 1962 in Akron to the late Eugene and Margaret MacBride. Gloria attended Archbishop Hoban High School and graduated from the University of Akron. She worked for the City of Akron throughout several departments with the Police Department being her favorite.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, brother John P. MacBride and sister Kathleen Cater. She leaves behind brothers; Robert M. (Karen), Donald P. and Charles T. (Helen) MacBride, sisters Maureen and Sharon MacBride, her beloved dogs Seamus and Oreo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins who are dear to her.
No public services will be observed. The family requests friends and family to celebrate Gloria's life in their own ways. Final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
