Glenn Allen "Bucky" Haught, age 68, passed away on January 15, 2026. Born on February 12, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, Glenn lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family and unwavering determination.
A proud graduate of Garfield High School's class of 1976, Glenn was a dedicated football player, and it was there he met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Christine Haught. Their bond remained one of the defining constants of his life.
Glenn was a longtime member of the operative plasterers and cement masons Local 109 Union, where he earned respect for his skills and dependability. He later ran his own business, Haught's Concrete for many years. Work was more than a job to Glenn- it was part of who he was. Even when he wasn't working, he was always looking for more work, driven by pride in providing and building something lasting.
Outside of work, Glenn found peace and happiness in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and especially treasured family, creating memories that will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Above all, Glenn was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his son Bryan Haught; daughter Lauren Haught (Edgar Rodriguez); granddaughter Natalie Haught; sister Kathy (Steve) Jett; nieces, nephews and many loving cousins. His family was his greatest accomplishment, and his love for them was steady, protective and deep.
Glenn joined in Heaven his beloved wife Christine Haught, his parents, Ronald and Mary Haught and his brother Ronald Haught Jr.
Glenn will be remembered for his strength, perseverance, and the example he set through a life of honest work and loyalty. Though he is deeply missed, the foundation he built- both in concrete and in family- will stand for generations.
"What we build with our hands may fade, but what we build with love lasts forever."
