Glenn B. Abbott 43, went home to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning June 23, 2015 after the most incredible, strong-willed fight against pancreatic cancer. He will be remembered as the strong, family oriented, well respected, energetic, and comical joking man who will be deeply missed as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by father, Earl S. Abbott. G leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 15 years, Stacy; daughters, Alyssa, Shawnee, and Savana; "the extra tick" Kory; granddaughter, Laila; mother, Gloria Swigart; sister, Brenda (John) Shultz; brother, Jamie (Stan) Clute; close extended family, Brenda, Jimmie (J), Kelly, Paul, Buddy, Tammy, Lil Jimmie, Kimmie; Chelsey, Abby, Cassidy, Felisha, and Dalylah; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the Cleveland Clinic and the staff at EPS for their care, compassion, and concern. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday June 30, 2015 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Private service will be held on Wednesday at the request of the family.
