Glenda Marie James, born April 25, 1949, of Uniontown, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026.
She was the daughter of the late Glenn and Aldine (née Bulgrin) Hall. Glenda held the role of matriarch in the family for many years; as a wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Glenn Edward (Stephanie), Lisa Marie Brown (Rebecca), and Jay Edward (Reesa), and by her two grandchildren, Tiffany Marie and Jayce Edward.
Glenda is also remembered by her nephews Jason Eberly; Jeremy (Michelle) Eberly; Cliff Masterson; and Ted Masterson; and her niece Dena (Jason) Darling and her great nieces and nephews. She cherished lasting friendships, including those with Shannon Tucker (Bob); Sue and Kevin Burmeister; Joyce Cameron; Peggy Kavalli; all the members of her “Lunch Bunch”, as well as, every one of the friends she made at The Red Barn Auction; and Louisville Gardens Nursing Home. She also shared a special bond with her beloved poodle, Maddie.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James “Ed” Edward (2009); her cousin, Annie Erikson (née Bulgrin) (2008); her dear friends Charles and Virginia “Tootie” Wise (2021); her sister, Linda Hall (2022); her sister-in-law, Vicki Jarrett (née James) (2025) and her beloved pets, Katie, Lucie, and Doxie.
For more than 30 years, Glenda worked as a REALTOR, she proudly worked for many well-respected brokers but most recently, High Point Real Estate Group prior to retirement. She enjoyed earning the respect of clients and colleagues through her integrity, dedication, and genuine care. She found purpose in helping clients find homes. She was also a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Canton and was a longtime resident of Uniontown, where she and Ed raised their three children.
The family extends sincere gratitude to her cousin, Thomas Bulgrin, for his kindness, generosity and support over the past two years, and to the staff at Louisville Gardens for their unwavering love, friendship, compassionate care and daily kindness.
In accordance with Glenda’s wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest with her husband at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
