Gilbert G. Burkhardt

Gilbert G. Burkhardt, 60, of Deerfield, passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2016. He was born September 11, 1956 in Akron, OH to parents Clifford and Dorothy Burkhardt. Gil was an avid outdoorsman, a member of DeMolay, and, more importantly a family man.

Gilbert is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Debbi; children, Jacki (Alex) Boulton, Richard (Vittie) Burkhardt, Lincoln (Cassie) Beck; grandchildren, Kayla Domer, Brooke Carson, Ashley Boulton; great-grandchildren, Chase, Bella, Faith, Eric; mother-in-law, Jackie Steele; cousin, Cheryl Daniel; dear friend, Tiffany Olson; and furry children, Autumn and Summer.

Family will receive guests for a memorial service on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron at 5 pm. Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Portage APL (www.portageapl.org).
