Gertrude Schafer

Gertrude M. Schafer, 87, of Suffield Township passed away Friday, April 17, 2015. Gertrude was born on July 31, 1927 to the late Charles and Nettie Sickle. In addition to her parents, Gertrude was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ludwig; and her sister and seven brothers. She is survived by her six children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00am at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Parish, 2425 Myersville Rd. Akron, Ohio 44312. The family will receive friends in the church from 9:30am until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Church or the American Heart Association.
