Geraldine Mervine

Geraldine "Cherie" Mervine, 76, of Akron, passed away suddenly June 14, 2014 at her home. She was born in Barberton, Ohio on April 13, 1938 to the late Frank and Geraldine Ott. Cherie loved listening to classical, traditional Celtic and folk music, reading, building puzzles, playing slots, laughing, and being with her family.

In addition to her parents, Cherie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl R. Mervine, Sr. She is survived by Children; Barbara Moore, Ray (Sherri') Mervine, Joyce Hedemark, Laura Mervine, Carol (James) Weber and Michael (Toni) Mervine, Grandchildren; Amy, Julie, Eric, Adam, Christopher, Melissa, Jacob, Alex and Audrey, 7 Great Grandchildren, Sisters; Joanne, Patricia and Vicki, many nieces, nephews and many friends.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, OH 44305 where funeral services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10:00 am. Final resting place will be at Lakewood Cemetery.
