Gerald Paul "Jerry" Strebler, 60, passed away October 11, 2010 after a sudden illness. He was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan, and was also a fan of the New York Yankees. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Garnette Strebler; brother, Robert Strebler; and sister, Karen Strebler. He is survived by his sister, Michele (Jeff) DiFiori; brother, Ray (Jackie) Strebler; many nieces and nephews; and friends, John and Kathleen Garrett. A memorial gathering will take place Wednesday, October 20, from 7 to 9 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
