Gerald L. Sax "Jerry"
Gerald L. Sax "Jerry" 76, passed away June 30, 2015 at AkronCity Hospital. Jerry was born in Akron, OH to his parents Albert and Marie Sax on March 24, 1939. He was a proud graduate of St. Vincent High School in 1957 where he excelled in football and won the Horrigan Trophy for MVP. He had a successful career in automobile business in Kent, Ohio starting in 1964 with Don Joseph Inc, and ending with Jerry Sax Auto Sales in 2003. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; sisters Charlene and Margie. He is survived by his sons, David (Alexis) and Bob (Jessica); two grandchildren, Abygail and Ayden; his pit bull, Dollar Bill; and numerous family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Monday July 6, 2015 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Any donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital.
