Gerald "Jerry" Gorday, 74, passed away suddenly on February 26, 2015.
Jerry retired from P.I.E. Trucking and Akron School District, where he worked as a bus driver. He enjoyed fishing, casinos, and spending time at his cabin at Piedmont Lake, where he was a member of the Akron Boat Club.
Survivors include his wife, Judi, of 45 years; daughter, Michelle Goodin; sons, Matthew and Brian; granddaughter, Tiffany (Bryan) Tulino; sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Thomas and Debbi (Ed) Hoard; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron. Family and friends may gather prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
