Georgia "Carrollene" Lutz (nee Keaton)
Georgia "Carrollene" Lutz, 74, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2012 through complications of Alzheimer's Disease. Her beloved husband, Mike, was by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis C. and Bonnie Keaton; brother, O.C. Keaton; and sister, Jeanette Good.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 43 years, Charles "Mike" Lutz; sister, Joe Ann Murphy of Montgomery, TX; brother, Buster Keaton of Lake Worth, TX; half sister, Cindy and half brother, Jack of Texas; daughters, Judy (Bill) Schell of Crestview, FL, Beth Corley of Mogadore, Terri Murphy of Mogadore; sons, Joe (Mara) Howell of Woodburn, OR, James Howell of Daytona Beach, FL; stepdaughters, Kathy (Garry) Miller of Uniontown, Lori (Jay) Seeman of Portage Lakes, Bobbi Scott of Kenmore; stepsons, Mike (Sue) Lutz of Mogadore, Stephen (Denise) Lutz of Uniontown, and Chuck (Dianne) Lutz of Akron; brother-in-law, Dave Lutz of Mogadore; brother-in-law, Jim Gearhart of Senecaville; sister-in-law, Judy (Ray) Pastva of Kimbolton, OH; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Born in Texas, she was very proud of her Cherokee heritage. She was a cook for 25 years for different restaurants in the Akron area. Her biggest joy was cooking for her family. She was a loyal member of the Mogadore Moose Womens Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and volunteering for fund raisers for the Mogadore Historical Society by cooking and serving for their monthly soup and sandwich luncheons. She also loved "scratch off" lottery cards and cooking for whoever walked in her home. The family wishes to thank the staff at Doylestown Nursing Home for the wonderful care Carrollene received while a resident there.
Visitation will be Monday November 26 from 10:30-12:30 followed by a 12:30 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
