"Judd" George C. Smith Jr.

George "Judd" C Smith, 90, passed away on May 18, 2026. He was born on November 13, 1935 the son of George C. Smith Sr. and Katherine Smith of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corp. as a jet pilot.

Throughout his distinguished career, George "Judd" served with great commitment as vice president and later president of White Sewing Co., a company that later evolved into Elna Sewing Machine Co. His leadership during these pivotal years helped shaped the business, reflecting his steadfast work ethic and vision. Those who knew him remember his love for golfing and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. Smith; and his brother Bill Smith.

George "Judd" is survived by his loving family, his children Scott (Pam) Smith, Steve Smith, Brad (Kim) Smith, and Stacy (Geoff) Guider; grandchildren Scott (Bri) Smith, Tim Smith, Jessica (Ryan) Kevern, and Jacy (Braeden) Guider; and many other relatives and friends.

Per his wishes cremation will take place.

Inurnment will be held next to his wife at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
