George Radoichin, 78, passed away peacefully on 4/12/2025 surrounded by loved ones. He was born one of six children on July 6, 1946 to the late Sylvester and Anna Radoichin in Akron, Ohio. He was a proud Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He carried his sense of humor, love for life, and loyalty to family and friends with him throughout his journey. He had a gift for making people laugh whether with a quick joke or a well timed story. He loved golf and was a hopeful lottery ticket regular, he enjoyed the little pleasures and never lost his sense of fun.
George is survived by his loving children Nikki Strait and Brian Radoichin; siblings Tina (Ted) Brandenstein, Dee (Bill) Rich, PeeWee Schulte, and Ron (Brenda) Radoichin; close nieces and nephews Monica, James, Mark and Annie; lifelong friend Roger Chalmers; and his faithful furry companion Rufus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Sallie (Quintrell) Radoichin; and one sister Barbara Piurkowsky.
In keeping with his lighthearted spirit, we invite those who knew him to share stories, memories, and laughs in his honor.
Per his wishes, cremation has already taken place and his remains will be placed at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd Seville, OH 44273) on May 15, 2025 at 12:45pm.
