George B. Calcei

George B. Calcei, age 89, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2026, in Suffield, Ohio.

Born on June 17, 1937, in Mogadore, Ohio, George retired from General Tire, where he worked in the Research and Development department. Following his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, fishing, and woodworking. A very creative man, George had a special talent for making beautiful and useful things with his hands. His deep love for his family will always be cherished and remembered.

George will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 69 years, Nancy; his children, George (Beth) Calcei and Kathy (Bryan) Apisa; his granddaughter, Elizabeth (Kevin) Williams; his great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jacob; and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Frank Calcei, and his sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Frank Corl.

In accordance with George’s wishes, there will be no visitation or calling hours. Cremation has taken place.

In George’s memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Suffield Fire Department, American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association, in lieu of flowers.
