George A. Biecker

George A. Biecker, 83, went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2015.
He was born in Ottawa, IL on September 14, 1931 to the late Frank and Marion Biecker. After graduating from Marquette University and serving two years in the Army, he moved to Akron with his wife, Kathleen. He worked at Goodyear Aerospace/Lockheed Martin for 30 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Parish and was an active volunteer in the church and the community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Kathleen; children, Diana (Mike) Pratt, Vivian Bronstrup, David (Jamie), and Paul (Candace); 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Bradish and Marge Hess. Special thanks to Aseracare Hospice, especially Trisha, Sonya, and Mark, and also to Dana Cochran for their care during George's illness.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Akron, OH. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
