Gail Sue Habas, 70, went to accept her eternal reward on December 22, 2025. Her death was unexpected, but we all know it was God’s time to welcome her into heaven. She was born June 25, 1955 to John and Millie Kaufman in Akron, Ohio. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 45 years, Michael J. Habas; son, Michael C. Habas (Stephanie); grandchildren, Emma and Michael C. Jr.; sister, Debbie (Joe) Kroslak; sisters-in-law, Marty Habas and Kathy (Louie) Devus; many nephews and nieces, and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Keller; daughter-in-law, Stacy Habas; sister and brother in-laws, Mary and Gordon Dulaney, and nephew, Benjamin Dulaney.
Gail loved being a wife and mother and had a large heart full of caring and joy. Her life recently revolved around her grandchildren and husband, focusing on making their lives as happy as only she could do. She also loved pets, having adopted two rabbits and caring for and fostering other’s dogs and cats. On her last day on earth, she was out getting Christmas presents for her grandchildren.
Gail always greeted everyone with a smile and had the sweetest laugh that warmed your heart. She never said anything bad about anyone unless they were unkind or hurtful and then she became an advocate for the person hurt by them.
In Loving Memory, a Celebration of Life will be held for Gail on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Guise Park Lodge, 38 Guise Park Drive, Munroe Falls, Ohio. Family and friends are warmly invited to share memories, stories, and moments of remembrance in love and gratitude. Refreshments will be provided.
