Franklin "Frank" D. Wallace

Franklin "Frank" D. Wallace, 91, of Norton, passed away on July 21, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1933, the son of the late Edward and Maimee Wallace of Murphy, NC. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 40 years of dedicated service. Frank was a man of remarkable spirit and an unwavering love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting or fishing or spending time at the family cabin, this all held a special place in Frank’s heart. He loved to go every year to Murphy, North Carolina to visit his family home. There he created countless memories, laughing, sharing stories, and building bonds with family and friends that would last a lifetime. He could often be seen hiking and biking along the towpath. Frank also found joy in simple tasks, such as mowing the lawn, working in his garden, and riding his scooter around the neighborhood. He lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Mark Wallace; brothers John "Jay", Carl and Harry; and sisters Edna, Lucille, and Wilma "Bunt."

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Mary Wallace; daughter Deborah (Gary) Johnston; grandchildren Mickey Wallace and Naphtali Wallace; brother Tommy Wallace; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 2nd at Ohio Veterans' Memorial Park (8005 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Clinton) with Rev. Duane Crabbs officiating with a Celebration of Life to be followed at noon at the same location.

The family requests no flowers but donations can be made to the Ohio Veterans' Memorial Park.
