Frank S. Stover

Frank S. Stover, affectionately known by his nicknames Skippy and Smokey, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Born on February 27, 1934, in West Virginia, Frank's journey through life exemplified resilience, hard work, and an unwavering dedication to his family.

For many years, he dedicated himself professionally at Goodyear Aerospace, where he enjoyed a fulfilling career before retiring. Frank was known for his industrious nature and continued to stay busy during his retirement, often engaging in projects around the house. His passion for learning and doing kept him active and vibrant, a true testament to his spirited personality.

On July 17, 2025, Frank's earthly journey came to a close in Akron, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy woven deeply into the hearts of his loved ones. He is survived by his devoted wife, Georgia, with whom he shared 73 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they navigated life's highs and lows, creating a family grounded in love and support.

Frank was the proud father of four daughters: Brenda Swietzer, Mary Huffman, Betty Senchesak, and Melissa Kendall. Each daughter carries forward not only his name but also his values of kindness and hard work. His family blossomed under his nurturing guidance, resulting in a bountiful lineage of love that now includes 12 cherished grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

He was predeceased by his sons, David Stover and Frank Stover, but the love he shared with them continues to resonate in the memories of those who knew him. Frank's life was filled with laughter, love, and the moments that make family gatherings so special, and these cherished memories will forever be a source of comfort for his surviving family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Frank's incredible life with visitation on July 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio. As we gather to remember Frank, we will hold close the moments of joy and love he shared with all of us, ensuring that his spirit lives on in our hearts.

Frank S. Stover may have departed from this world, but his legacy, his love, and the warmth of his spirit will remain forever cherished in the lives he touched.
