Frances E. Wharton, 70, went home to be with Jehovah on October 24, 2016. She was born in Barberton, OH on March 25, 1946 to the late Jack and Odell Wharton. Frances enjoyed working with children as an "Adopted Grandma," and the elderly as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed her friends, family and laughter.
Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Wharton Jr., and sister, RuthAnn Wharton. She is survived by her sons, Thomas Richmond (Effie), and Imani Akiakeem Zaire (Christine Ollerton); grandchildren, Malik Zaire, Carlos, Toyko, Shawn, Ebony, Porsha, Shatoria, Shavonne, Aniyah, Aaliyah, Amiyah, Treshawn, Shabre, Arina; brothers, Robert Wharton, Leon Wharton, Charles Wharton, Anthony Wharton; sisters, Anita Wharton, Tina Wharton, and Missiy Wharton; and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 12:00pm at People's Baptist Church, 525 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron, OH 44307. Per her wishes, cremation has already taken place.
