Frances Starcher

Frances Starcher of Cuyahoga Falls made her transition to heaven May 7th, 2025. Frances was born on November 4th, 1941. Frances was the backbone of her family. She took care of everyone around her. She was sassy and smart. She loved to cook, spending most of her time in the kitchen. She loved planting flowers and vegetables in her garden and on quiet days doing her word search puzzle. In her younger days she loved to attend bingo. Frances loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would always have the biggest smile when they came around. She is described as loving, strong and having a heart of gold.

She is preceded in death by long term husband, Arnold Starcher; son Robert Starcher; daughter, JoAnn Starcher; brother, James Jones; sisters, Christina Scroggins, Irene Earle, Ruth Yost, Bea Yetzy, and Sue Ihasz. She is survived by sons, Richard Starcher and David Starcher; grandchildren, Ammie Starcher, Britni Starcher, Richard Starcher Jr., AJ Starcher, Melanie Starcher and Caitlyn Starcher; sisters, Amelia Finzel, Jean Lavin, and Alice Umphrey; brother, Charles Jones; many great grandchildren and other family and friends. Granddaughters Ammie (Caleb) and Britni had the honor of caring for her in her final days with also receiving lots of help from sister Alice and sister in law Marg. Frances is one of a kind and will be tremendously missed by everyone.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, May 16, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
