Frances Potts

It is with heavy hearts that we say, Frances "Fran" Potts, 65 years old of North Canton went home to be with our Lord after passing away unexpectedly during surgery at the Cleveland Clinic on April 19, 2016.
Fran graduated in 1978 from Akron School of Practical Nursing, where she went on to practice geriatric nursing for over 21 years. Fran was a member of her Catholic church, Nativity of the Lord Jesus, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Fran loved spending time with her family at the ocean, taking long scenic car rides with her husband, and baking and crafting with her grandchildren.
Fran is preceded in death by her father Francis, mother Annabelle, brother David, infant sister Theresa, her sister-in-law Libby Wilson, and her in-laws Jack and Colleen Potts.
Fran is survived by her loving husband, Greg, with whom she was married to for over 44 years; her daughters, Jackie (Robert) Brown, Kimberly (Jeremy) Newhouse, and Jennifer Thoms; her grandchildren who were her world, Kennedy, Collin, and Angelina Brown, Aralyn, Ireleigh, and Maddox Thoms.
Fran also leaves behind her siblings, Paul (Linda) Wilson, John Wilson, and Mike (Wendy) Tomaiko, as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Nativity of the Lord Jesus Church, 2425 Meyersville Road, Akron at 10:00 AM, Monday April 25, 2016 where Father David Halaiko will celebrate Fran's life.
Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM.
Morning prayers will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 9:15 AM before processing to the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help off-set funeral expenses.
