Frances N. McCray
Frances N. McCray, 88, went home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2014. She was born March 1, 1926 in Mayfield, KY. Frances was a member of Falls Creek Community Church. She devoted her life to her family and loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul McCray; daughter, Mary Lucetta Jones; father, James Pinkerton; mother, Mitylene Holmes; brothers Billy Dean and James Pinkerton; and sister, Amelia Jackson. She will be deeply missed by her children, Patricia Rice, Saundra Price, Sharon Lane, Sharon White, Candace (Loren) Ross, Paul (Jessie) Joiner, and Don Joiner; sister, Mary Alice Mumma; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; many other dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Rd, Frances's special cousin, Jennifer Meyer, and dear friend Karen Axline for their devoted care.
Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. followed by a 1:30 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Anthony Johnson officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
