Forrest Victor “Vic” Collier, 80, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2026. Born in Akron, Ohio, Vic was a lifelong resident of the area. More than 50 years ago, he and his beloved wife made their home in Brimfield in Portage County, where they built a life together and raised their family.
Vic was known for his love of working with his hands and could often be found in his garage, where he enjoyed building and repairing lawn mowers and spending time woodworking. He took pride in creating and fixing things, and his garage was a place where both projects and memories were made. Vic also enjoyed traveling with his wife and family in their camper, taking trips out of state and making lasting memories along the way.
Above all, Vic treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence, guidance, and humor will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary; his children, Jeffery (Junife) Collier, Steven Collier, and Emily (William) Langille; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren, with two more great-grandchildren expected in the coming months. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will remember him fondly.
A celebration of Vic’s life will be held at a later date.
