Fleta Marie Edwards

Fleta Marie Edwards, 80, went home to be with her husband Glen and son Michael on October 20, 2015. She was born in Vonore, TN to the late Vincent and Wathel Dean. She worked in management most of her life, working at Kaufman's, Toys R Us, and Malco Products. She enjoyed gambling, going to the movies, and playing bingo. She was also involved in charity work. Fleta was a very independent woman who cared deeply about her family. Her favorite season was Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son; three sisters; and one brother. Fleta leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Glenda (Thomas) Small, and Deborah (William) Goson; grandchildren, Stacy Barnett, Amber Repp, Michael and Joshua Springston; brother, David (Mary) Dean; great-grandchildren, DJ, Tommy, Kharee, John and Mikayla; best friend, Ceil Mathia; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends on Saturday October 24, 2015 from 1-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH with the memorial service immediately following. Chaplain Isaac Horton officiating. Private interment to be held at a later date.
