Listen to Obituary

Everett Lee Wyatt, 90, of Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife and family, on April 28, 2026. He was born July 19, 1935, in Bowden, West Virginia, to Boyd Jay Wyatt and Hazel Mae (Carr) Wyatt.

Everett attended school in Cumberland, Maryland, and later served honorably in the United States Army. During his service, he was stationed in Germany at the same time as Elvis Presley, an experience he remembered with pride.

Throughout his working life, Everett held various positions, including roles at Goodyear Aerospace (later Lockheed Martin), Boeing, and in tree-cutting and timber work. He ultimately returned to Lockheed Martin, where he retired after many years of dedicated service.

Everett was blessed with two great loves in his lifetime. He was married to Nina Jean (Cathell) Wyatt from September 9, 1961, until her passing in 2017. He later found companionship and joy with Thelma Zwick-Wyatt. Married on September 29, 2018, Everett and Thelma enjoyed spending their time together attending bingo, traveling, and sharing their love of music and dancing. Everett was a gifted musician who loved to sing and play guitar, often filling the home with warmth.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd Jay Wyatt and Hazel Mae (Carr) Wyatt; his first wife, Nina Jean Wyatt; his son, Allen Wyatt; his grandson, Derek Wyatt; his sisters, Celia Wyatt and Barbara Proctor; and his brother, Douglas J. Wyatt.

Everett is survived by his wife, Thelma Wyatt; his children, Gary Wyatt and Greg Wyatt (Danielle); his daughter-in-law, Barbara Wyatt; his grandchildren, Andrew Wyatt, Josh Wyatt, Dwight Wyatt, Ashly Lee, Tyler Ternosky, and Gavin Wyatt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Richard (Kim) Zwick and Susan (Charles) Loveless, along with step-grandchildren Kelly Loveless, Andrew Loveless, Julie Loveless, Kathleen Zwick, and Mark Zwick.

He is further survived by his siblings, Edith Wyatt, Lillian Slitter (Lee), Mabel Kelley (Dale), Ethel Lambert, and Boyd Junior Wyatt (Shirley); and his brothers-in-law, Bill Proctor (Sharon) and Zell Lambert (Evalynn).

Everett will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of family, passion for music, and the stories he shared from a life well lived. He enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and spending time with those closest to him.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
