Evelyn M. Turner "Sheila"

Evelyn M. Turner "Sheila", 85, of Akron, passed away July 4, 2014. She was born in Buffalo, New York on May 28, 1929 to the late Thomas and Ada Booker. Sheila loved tending the flowers in her garden, reading, singing, and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude C. Turner, whom she married on September 27, 1947; and seven brothers and sisters.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Tom (Elaine) Turner of Akron; daughters, Susie (Skip) Fox of Mt Vernon, IL, Sharon Pifer of Munroe Falls, and Laurie (Ralph) McBrian of Tallmadge; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces and nephews including Jimmy (Irene) Richmond and Peggy Rawlings, all of Akron. The family wishes to thank Jinann and Roger Webb for their devoted care of Mom. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with Rev. Ned Parks officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue, PO Box 2864, Akron, OH 44309.
