Evelyn L. Kopp

Evelyn L. Kopp, 97, of Akron, passed away on April 21, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1928 the daughter of John and Viola Bland. Evelyn retired after many years of dedicated service from Lakeshore Jewelers. Evelyn devoted much of her days tending to her yard work and nurturing her gardens filled with blooming flowers. Her appreciation for nature extended beyond her beautiful flowers, as she was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed working on puzzles and arts and crafts. Evelyn also enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Francis T. Kopp Jr.; sister Norma Kent, children Donald Cart and Rebecca Sheets; and grandson Raymond Cart Jr.

Evelyn is survived by her children Betty (John) Bercsik, Raymond (Christine) Cart, Bonnie Cart, and Diana Cart; grandchildren Siobhan Cart, Stephanie Cart, Tina Cart, Kelly Lopp, and a host of many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, Tuesday, April 28th at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 1:00pm with Pastor Stephen Neumeyer officiating.
