Evelyn Gaye Beers, a beloved soul whose laughter resonated warmly through the hearts of all who knew her, departed this world on February 1, 2026, in her cherished hometown of Akron, Ohio. Born on December 27, 1964, Evie illuminated the lives of her family and friends with her vivacious spirit and an infectious joy that was as delightful as her fondness for ice cream, French fries, chicken nuggets and the joyful melodies of music.
Evie’s life was a symphony of cherished memories, harmonized by her passion for song and celebration. She held an especially deep affection for Christmas—a time when her love for family and traditions came to vibrant life. Each Friday night, she eagerly awaited the music festivals, where she would lose herself in rhythm and song, surrounded by friends and loved ones, each note weaving connections that would last through time.
Survived by her loving siblings, Evie is remembered by her sister Theda Millhoff and her brother-in-law Tim Millhoff; her sister Mary Julian and brother-in-law Dan Julian; her sister Velda Beers; and her sister Bonnie Conover alongside her brother-in-law Chris Conover. Together, they hold dear the countless moments spent in joyful company, celebrating the simple pleasures that Evelyn treasured so profoundly.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, her spirit enduring in the hearts of those who share her legacy. She now joins her beloved departed family—her parents, Elmer and Mildred Beers, her sister Ginger Crumley, and her brother Bruce Beers—who await her arrival in the embrace of eternity. In their reunion, may they sing together once more, echoing the melodies that Evelyn loved so dearly.
