Evan Maxwell Daniels

Evan Maxwell Daniels, a loving husband, devoted family member, and steadfast friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Barberton, Ohio, leaving behind a warm legacy steeped in kindness and laughter. Born on January 18, 1953, in Elkins, West Virginia, Evan was a man who cherished his roots and the moments that mattered most.

For 16 years, Evan served as a supervisor at J.C. Whitlams, where his remarkable ability to blend humor with professionalism made him a beloved figure among his colleagues. Known for his light-hearted jokes at work, he also demonstrated a profound respect and quiet demeanor within the comforts of his home. This duality showcased the essence of who he was—a man of warmth and kindness, dedicated fully to those he loved.

Evan's passions extended beyond his professional life. He had a remarkable affinity for history, particularly fascinated by the intricacies of World War I and World War II, especially related to war airplanes. These interests often sparked vibrant conversations, as he shared facts and stories that brought history to life. His love for exploration took him and his wife, Jackie, on many memorable trips to West Virginia, where they would visit family and admire the beautiful sights, creating cherished memories that will forever resound in the hearts of those who loved him.

As an avid sports enthusiast, Evan was a loyal fan of the Browns and the Guardians, never missing a game on television. His enthusiasm for sports was just another reflection of his vibrant spirit and the joy he found in everyday moments.

Evan's family was his world. He is survived by his devoted wife of 17 years, Jackie; step-mother Nancy Daniels; step-brother William Forrest “Duke” Daniels; nephew Hartley (Hailey) Daniels; cousin Chris Gear; and siblings-in-law Ginger (Mike) Rooks and Rae Lynn (Donnie) Waugh, along with their children. Each of them carries a piece of Evan in their hearts, a testament to the impact he had on their lives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Maxwell Daniels; mother, Isabel Koger; step-father, T.C. Koger; and brother, Dennis Michael Daniels. Evan is also remembered fondly by his late family, whose spirits remain intertwined with his memory.

Evan Maxwell Daniels may have departed from this earth, but his legacy of kindness, laughter, and unyielding love for his family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched.
