Eugene E. Kirgesner

Eugene E. Kirgesner, 73, of Akron, passed away on June 20, 2018. He was born in Akron on May 5, 1945 to the late Edward and Barbara Kirgesner. Gene graduated from Hoban High School and earned his Bachelor Degree from the University of Akron where he was a member of Theta Chi. Gene loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer and gardener. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Cathy; brothers, Jim (Christine) and Joe (Sue); brothers-in-law, Don (Pat) and Mike (Elizabeth); twelve nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. A celebration of Gene's life will be held on Saturday, June 30th from 5-9 p.m. at Firestone Country Club, 452 East Warner Rd., Akron 44319. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
