Ethel B. Abrashoff, age 93 of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 11:45 AM at Aultman Hospital.
She was born on December 28, 1923 in Milford, PA, the daughter of the late Simon Wesley and Elva Yohn Pannebaker.
Ethel was a cafeteria worker in the Springfield School System for 23 years. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and having a lot of laughs. Ethel was a member of The Chapel in Akron.
Survivors include her children, Victor Von (Helen) Abrashoff, Daniel (Laura) Abrashoff, and Vicki (George) Hammond; five grandchildren, Nathan, Adam, Nicole, Lisa, and Tasse; two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Joshua; her sister, Evelyn Park; and her sister-in-law, Mary Abrashoff.
Other than her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Abrashoff, and six siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM, Friday, January 27, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Chaplain Ron Iwanusa will celebrate Ethel's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
Ethel will be laid to rest next to her husband in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
